How do we relate to people with disabilities? How do we take each others’ needs and possibilities into account even if ours are different? What happens when there is a disruption in communication? What could be better for exploring different points of view than a contemporary art exhibition! Curators Christine Sun Kim and Niels Van Tomme have brought together the works of 10 artists around the world (EST, DK, UK, USA).

 

In the educational programme titled “School of Empathy” we will explore the artworks and the world that opens up through them. The practical part of the lesson invites participants to think like designers, architects and warm-hearted people: we will design a freely chosen concrete place to be “universally accessible”.
