Plenty of Room to Grow!
Curator: Tamara Luuk

“Keep growing! There’s plenty of room to grow!” said the Wolf to Little Red Riding Hood, the Witch to Hansel and Gretel, and the Great Commander to the small boy and girl, knowing that tomorrow, one would bear arms while the other would raise the next generation. “Keep growing,” said the parents to their beloved child, as did the insistent, non-negotiable voice within the child himself, driving them higher, farther, deeper – perhaps even away. Away from here, away from others, away from themselves. “Growth and fragments,” rather than “balance,” tend to be the keywords in describing contemporary life and creativity. This exhibition seeks to distill the particles of movement, the crumbs of transformation, as much as a visual form can express. It does so with the contributions of Ene-Liis Semper and her students, Jass Kaselaan and Art Allmäe, Eero Alev, Terje Ojaver, and other artists.
